As Japan's 3rd oldest piano manufacturer, Schwester began its history in 1929 and follows
its tradition of handmade pianos ever since. Even today it continues to focus on producing
a small number of high-quality pianos, which include carefully selected parts such as the
German Renner action, Royal George hammers, and Roslau wires for completion.

Another notable feature is that a part of Schwester's line-up uses "red Ezo spruce"
from Hokkaido prefecture for the soundboard material, which is regarded as the wood
of the highest class in Japan. Availability of Schwester pianos is scarce even in
Japanese market, and remains very popular high-class brand. A number of models
are available now at Takemoto Piano, so please consider an order.
